Pseudocyphomyia

Introduction

Pseudocyphomyia is so called due to its bare, starkly white head, which looks similar to the heads of some species of Cyphomyia. P. mimetica is native to Brazil (Woodley 2001). An undescribed species is illustrated in Woodley (2001, p. 34).
