Download TreeGrow

TreeGrow is an application that allows ToL authors to create and edit the tree structure underlying the ToL web site. TreeGrow is available only to registered ToL scientific core contributors, and uploading data to the ToL Database requires a personal username and password. Please contact if you need help in getting TreeGrow set up or in downloading and uploading your materials.

TreeGrow is a Java program that runs on all versions of Java 1.3 or greater. The following links allow you to download pre-packaged zip installers for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The links are password-protected, and registered core contributors should contact to obtain the password.

• TreeGrow for Mac OS X (up to version 10.3.3 with Java 1.4.1)
• TreeGrow for Mac OS X (version 10.3.4 and above with Java 1.4.2 and above)
• TreeGrow for Linux

Installation Instructions

• Windows
  1. Unzip the zip file to a location on your hard drive
  2. Navigate to the TreeGrow folder where the zip file was unzipped
  3. Double-click on the TreeGrow.exe file to start TreeGrow
• Mac
  1. Unzip the zip file to a location on your hard drive
  2. Navigate to the TreeGrow folder where the zip file was unzipped
  3. Double-click on the TreeGrow application icon to start TreeGrow
• Linux
  1. Unzip the zip file to a location on your filesystem where you have write privileges
  2. Navigate to the TreeGrow folder where the zip file was unzipped
  3. Run the treegrow file to start TreeGrow
